About Steve Belkin

"A straight shooter and a 'tell it like it is' kind of a guy."

In his 30 plus years in the music business Steve Belkin has worked in many facets of the industry including record retail, distribution, songwriting, performing, retail and lifestyle marketing, road, tour and stage management, artist management and tour production.

While running a retail and lifestyle marketing company Steve was instrumental in developing and implementing various campaigns for several major and independent labels including Warner Brothers Jazz, Atlantic, Sony, Concord, JVC, Higher Octave, Virgin Records and many more. As a tour, stage and/or road manager Steve worked with artists such as The (flying) Burrito Brothers, Neil Sedaka and Tangerine Dream. As the owner of Open All Nite Entertainment, a management and marketing consulting company, and the co-owner of the management company Left Coast Music Group, Steve has helped guide the careers of The Tubes, Narada Michael Walden, Craig Chaquico, Walela (Featuring Rita Coolidge), Gaelic Storm, Grant Geissman, Ray Parker Jr. and more.

Belkin has a business degree in marketing from Cal State University Northridge, is the author of the blog 'The Working Stiff's Guide to the Music Business' and continues to be an active songwriter. He is the GM for the boutique label Innervision Records and as VP of operations for UE3 Promotions has been instrumental in several brand partnership campaigns for artists of all genres from Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, AC, POP, Jazz, Country and more.

Steve is a writer and publisher member of ASCAP and a voting member with The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, Society of Composer and Lyricists, The Country Music Association and The Academy of Country Music, Association of Independent Music Publishers,The California Copyright Conference and the National Association of Recording Merchandisers.
